What changed
The team can review, sort, filter and edit the corridor attributes in bulk, then push the changes into Civil 3D. The model no longer has to be updated one layer at a time through separate panels.
The problem
This civil team's corridor models had to carry material codes and other digital engineering attributes across layer after layer. Civil 3D spread those values across separate interface panels, which made the full set difficult to review. Editing one layer at a time also made bulk changes impractical. The team used a spreadsheet to manage the information, but it needed a dependable way to write those values back to the model.
What I built
I built an Excel-to-Civil 3D workflow around a structured spreadsheet containing the corridor layers and their attributes. The team can review the complete set, sort and filter it, then edit values in bulk.
When the workflow runs, it writes the spreadsheet values into the model. Change the managed data in Excel, run the workflow again, and Civil 3D receives the update.
