I use that combination to help engineering firms make project delivery more efficient across their projects and teams.
CodedConstructs
I started CodedConstructs because I kept seeing the same problem inside engineering firms. People built useful spreadsheets, scripts and internal tools, but most only improved one task or one team. The work between them stayed manual, so projects were not becoming cheaper to deliver.
AI is making it easier to create even more tools. I believe the greater opportunity is to connect them into production systems that improve delivery across the whole firm.
Depending on what a firm needs, I advise the team, build the system or do both.
Background
I've spent most of my career inside engineering consultancies, working across structural design, drafting and software development. I've written Grasshopper and Dynamo scripts for live projects, built internal tools that engineering teams relied on, and developed applications designed to work reliably across projects and teams.
I've applied that mix of engineering and software to projects including Atlassian Central, The Fox: NGV Contemporary, Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 and Sydney Metro.
That experience taught me that useful automation has to fit the way a firm actually delivers projects. Building more tools is not enough when each one solves a problem in isolation. To make the whole firm more efficient, its tools and processes have to work as one system.
